Wicker Alumni Association and The Lee County Arts Council\, to host a Two-day Juneteenth Celebration filled with community fellowship.  \nThe festivities kick off on Friday\, June 19th\, from 6:00PM-7:00PM at the W.B. Wicker School Auditorium with “Juneteenth: Freedom Songs\,” a musical tribute featuring the W.B. Wicker Dance Team\, the Brenda Johnson Community Choir\, and Ray Owen with Rod Brower and the Together-N-Unity Choir. \nThe celebration continues on Saturday\, June 20th\, from 12:00PM-6:00PM at Horton Park with the Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration\, which features a parade\, vendors\, food\, an all-day cash and gift card giveaway\, and live performances from national and local talent like Gerald Hinton\, The Dowdy Boys\, and Melody Hall. \nAdmission to these events is free\, and community members are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to enjoy this special weekend of uplifting positivity and togetherness.
